Banyards Expands MEP Design Portfolio

We are proud to announce a series of new project wins, expanding our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design services to prominent developments. These projects highlight our commitment to providing MEP solutions from early design stages through to commissioning, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for our clients.

Our latest appointed include MEP design at Cofra’s prestigious 75 Knightsbridge development. This project will see our design engineers support the transformation of this iconic property, leveraging our sustainable design expertise, including low carbon consulting and building physics, to achieve optimal energy efficiency and comfort for occupants.

Another significant win is at Bridgewater Place, where we will undertake a comprehensive design review for GMI Construction. Known as the tallest building in Leeds, our focus here will be on reviewing the existing MEP design to enhance overall performance, improve sustainability, and ensure long-term resilience.

Our ongoing collaboration with Great Portland Estates (GPE) continues with projects at the 22 Storey City Tower and Orchard Court, where our team delivers detailed MEP design services. We strive to support these high-profile developments with efficient, and fully integrated building services solutions.

63-77 Brompton Road, a project secured in partnership with Thirdway Interiors, will benefit from our peer design review expertise. By providing an independent assessment of the current MEP design, we will help drive improvements that meet stringent efficiency and sustainability goals, providing better value for stakeholders and enhancing occupant comfort.

We have also secured a project win with GSE for a new KFC & Taco Bell drive-thru at Waterbrook Park, Ashford. Here, our focus will be on designing the MEP systems that align with modern retail requirements, emphasising operational efficiency and customer convenience.

Further adding to our project portfolio is 10 Portman Square, where we are working closely with British Land and Gardiner & Theobald (G&T). This project involves delivering a peer design review service, much like our successful involvement at Brompton Road. Our role is to bring a detailed and independent evaluation of the current MEP designs to ensure that the project meets all performance, sustainability, and energy efficiency targets.

Additionally, we are proud to be supporting Campus Living Villages with the design of photovoltaic (PV) systems for the existing roof of The Royal College of Music Student Halls. Partnering with Eric Wright, this project represents our shared commitment to accelerating sustainability initiatives. The PV installation is a key component of the energy strategy, helping to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to the overall environmental responsibility of the student housing facilities.

With every project, we utilise our milestone-based design process, from RIBA Stage 1 to Stage 7, ensuring all aspects are meticulously planned and executed. Our Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2 accreditation, achieved for four consecutive years, underscores our proficiency in delivering coordinated, clash-free designs that save time and reduce costs before construction begins.

Banyards remains at the forefront of MEP design and commissioning, committed to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for clients. Our dedication to high-quality, energy-efficient designs not only supports developers and project managers but also enhances the environments we help create.
